Keywords & Rankings
Track your Google search positions and optimize keyword coverage.
Keyword Management
Add up to 50 keywords per target to track their Google search positions. Keywords can be added manually or generated by AI suggestion based on your site content.
| Source | Description |
|---|---|
| Manual | Type keywords you want to track |
| AI Suggested | AI analyzes your crawled pages and suggests relevant keywords |
| GSC Imported | Import from Google Search Console (future) |
Rank Tracking
Teste.no checks keyword positions in Google search results every 7 days using Serper.dev. Each check records:
- Position — Current rank in top 100 results (null = not found)
- Previous position — Last known rank for change detection
- URL — Which page on your site is ranking
- Snippet — The search result snippet text
Rank drops of 5+ positions and lost rankings (fell out of top 100) generate findings.
Keyword Coverage
The coverage analysis checks where each keyword appears on your pages:
| Location | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Page title | Strongest on-page SEO signal |
| H1 heading | Confirms page topic to search engines |
| Meta description | Influences click-through rate in search results |
| URL slug | Clean URLs with keywords rank better |
| Body text | Keyword density and natural usage |
Per-Page Keyword Strategy
AI generates keyword proposals for each canonical URL from your latest crawl. For each page, you get:
- Primary keyword recommendation
- Secondary keywords
- Search intent classification
- Suggested title and meta description
- Cannibalization warnings (when multiple pages target the same keyword)
Approve or reject proposals. Approved keywords are automatically added to your tracking list.
Rankings View
Two perspectives on your ranking data:
| View | Shows |
|---|---|
| By Keyword | Each keyword with position, sparkline chart, and change indicator |
| By Page | Group keywords by the URL they rank on, detect landing page mismatches |
Note: Rank checks are paced at ~50/day per team (configurable via team settings) to manage API costs. Primary keywords are checked first.
